Event Sponsorship

Off the Track WA (OTTWA) is dedicated to promoting the competitive use of retired racehorses in equestrian sports across Western Australia. Each year, we proudly sponsor hundreds of metropolitan and regional equestrian events, showcasing the versatility of Standardbreds and Thoroughbreds as both pleasure and competitive animals.

Our sponsorship is open to all equestrian disciplines, emphasizing the significant role that clubs and organizations play in this initiative. By supporting these events, OTTWA connects and supports a large variety and number of off the track horse owners and riders. OTTWA would like to acknowledge the important role the clubs and organisations receiving this sponsorship play in achieving this.

Sponsored Events offer OTTWA branded merchandise and prizing to competitors with financial support to larger events and committees that include exclusive OTT classes, further promoting retired racehorses in their second careers.

APPLICATIONS

Sponsorship Tiers

There are three sponsorship levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The participant numbers and off the track representations will determine the sponsorship tier, prize money and sponsorship value that OTTWA provides.

Application Terms

No applications outside of the application period will be accepted.

If your event does not have as many entries as you anticipated and you have remaining prizing, the prizing must be returned to OTTWA.

If you event does not have any off the track horses attend, all prizing must be returned to OTTWA. Note this may impact the level of sponsorship and/or value of prizing provided for future events.

If you event is postponed or cancelled for any reason, you must notify OTTWA as soon as possible by emailing offthetrackwa@rwwa.com.au

INSERT

BRONZE SPONSORSHIP

Applicant is:

  • A club/organization and/expected a small representation (15% of less) of retired racehorses.
  • You are a first-time applicant of the OTTWA Event Sponsorship.

OTTWA may provide:

  • Rosettes and prizes provided for off the track horses.

OTTWA will receive for the sponsorship of your event:

  • OTTWA to be tagged in all relevant social media posts pre, during and post event.
  • A full list of OTTWA horses that entered the event with their OTTWA Passport ID number, racing name (if applicable) and competition name.
  • Complete a post-event report to be provided to OTTWA – Feedback Form.

SILVER SPONSORSHIP

Applicant is:

  • An association or organisation
  • Preferably hosting classes where only off the track horses are eligible to enter.

OTTWA may provide:

  • Rosettes and prizes provided for agreed placings. Option for custom rosettes/sashes/trophies.
  • Option for custom rugs.
  • Up to $1,500 of sponsorship towards running of the event.
  • Up to $2,000 of prize money for OTTWA classes/horses.
  • Promotional merchandise and flyers to be available at event
  • Optional: Offer to subsidize 30% the entry costs of OTTWA competitors who travel 150km or more to attend the event.

OTTWA will receive for the sponsorship of your event:

  • Half page advertising opportunity in official program if applicable.
  • OTTWA logo and link to OTTWA website on their event website, entry form and program where applicable.
  • Opportunity for OTTWA to display signage
  • OTTWA to be tagged in all relevant social media posts pre, during, and post event.
  • A full list of OTTWA horses that entered the event with their OTTWA Passport ID number, racing name and competition name.
  • Complete a post-event report to be provided to OTTWA – Feedback Form

GOLD SPONSORSHIP

Applicant is:

  • An association or organisation
  • Eastern States, National or International qualifier
  • Host classes where only off the track horses are eligible to enter.
  • Evidence of at least 20% of off the track horses competed at your event in the past.
  • Dedicated social media channels for the event.
  • Printed official program for the event highlighting the off the track competitors.

OTTWA will provide:

  • Rosettes and prizes provided for agreed placings. Option for custom rosettes/sashes/trophies.
  • Option for custom rugs
  • Up to $3,000 of sponsorship towards running of the event.
  • Up to $3,000 of prize money for OTTWA classes/horses.
  • Promotional merchandise and flyers to be available at event
  • Optional: Offer to subsidize 30% the entry costs of OTTWA competitors who travel 150km or more to attend the event.

OTTWA will receive for the sponsorship of your event:

  • Full page advertisement in the official program
  • An individual social media post announcing OTTWA as a sponsor.
  • OTTWA to be tagged in all relevant social media posts pre, during and post event.
  • OTTWA logo and link to OTTWA website on their event website, entry form and program.
  • Opportunity for OTTWA to display signage and/or use of an OTTWA jump.
  • PA announcements throughout the event referencing OTTWA as a sponsor.
  • Naming rights to an agreed class/s
  • A full list of OTTWA horses that entered the event with their OTTWA Passport ID number, racing name and competition name.
  • Complete a post-event report to be provided to OTTWA – Feedback Form

  • Silver and Gold Sponsorship Information

    If applying for a Silver or Gold sponsorship, the below information is applicable to you.
  • As part of this sponsorship, your event may be eligible to offer the OTT travel rebate to entrants. This is a great opportunity to gather more entrants via a reduced entry cost subsidized by OTTWA. As part of this, you will be required to coordinate a few administrative items. Please tick to confirm you can commit to these requirements; if not, travel rebates may not be applied for this event.
