OTTWA Interstate Sponsored Competitors | Lascia Star Shines Bright!

Off the Track WA are proud to have sponsored Interstate Sponsored Competitor, Lascia Star. This beautiful 2016 Viscount mare has performed successfully throughout 2023 in the show ring, proving herself to be a fine example of the thoroughbred breed. “Stella” travelled across Australia alongside fellow competitors competing at the Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships (The Nationals) and settled in happily in The Oaks before the event.

In the weeks leading up to competition, Lascia Star – competed as Petite Etoile, entered into the Emma’s Championship Show to remove the dust from travelling. Stella performed beautifully, taking home Champion Led Show Horse, Champion Open Show Hack and Champion EA Open Hack. This success had everyone within the Lascia Star team buzzing with excitement for their Nationals debut.

Lascia Star competed within the OTT Feature class on the Friday night of the event before her Open class on the Saturday. Piloted by Lauren King, Stella performed a lovely workout to claim Reserve Champion Off the Track Mare against some very competitive horses. Owner, Fiona Whife, expressed how proud she is of her little mare achieving such success at her first national event.

Still on a high from the previous nights’ success, Lascia Star entered into the Open Small Show Hack class to claim fourth against many of the country’s finest horses. This placing topped off the end of a wonderful event for team Lascia Star, who have all expressed how impressed and proud they are of this mare.
