Key Emblem | Off the Track Story

Previously piloted by Sara Mullins to great success, Key Emblem has now taken young rider Chloe Land under his wing and they’re flying high!

Crowned the 2026 Children’s Title winners at Jumping Promotions WA State Jumping Titles, Chloe and Key Emblem have become a strong partnership in the junior classes.

Chloe met Key Emblem while he was in Rosie Oliver’s care to be sold. Introduced when visiting the property for her regular lesson with Rosie, Chloe was given the opportunity for a test ride and fell in love straight away.

Chloe and Key Emblem began their competitive partnership with two second placings at the WASJA Patrons Cup competition and then placed sixth in the one meter OTT class at the WA State Jumping Titles in 2025.

Moving into the new year, they dabbled in eventing at WAYER International Horse Trials before returning to the show jumping arena.

With the Children’s State Title added to the trophy shelf, Chloe and Key Emblem didn’t stop building on their successes.

They recently won the 95cm OTTWA Stakes, placed second in the 1.05m OTTWA Stakes and fourth in the 90cm OTTWA Stakes at the final Perth Show Jumping League competition.

They also claimed victory at WASJA Winter Jumping Championships as the Best Performed Off the Track Horse.

Though he doesn’t always make it easy, Key Emblem has taught Chloe how to be a smarter and better rider moving up the heights and adapting to his quick feet. Chloe has her sights set on producing consistent 1.10m rounds and looks forward to their future together.

This combination is just one of many junior/off-the-track partnerships making waves in the competition scene. Retired racehorses are doing fantastic work with junior riders lately, showcasing their talent, trainability and willingness to please.
