Event Sponsorship: Applications
Applications for the August 2023 to January 2024 period are now open!
Applications close on Thursday 1 June, 2023.
The OTTWA Event Sponsorship initiative is designed to both encourage horse and rider combinations at the beginning of their competitive careers and recognise those who are competing at the top levels. OTTWA would like to acknowledge the important role the clubs and organisations receiving this sponsorship play in achieving this.
Event sponsorship enables OTTWA to connect and support a large variety and number of off the track horse owners and riders, for this reason we are focusing sponsorship efforts on event sponsorship for this period rather than individual rider sponsorship.
EVENT SPONSORSHIP TIERS AND CRITERIA
There are three (3) sponsorship levels – Gold, Silver and Bronze – dependent on the size of your event and number of off the track horses competing. Considerations are made for competitions held in regional areas, and/or disciplines establishing the participation of retired racehorses.
GOLD SPONSORSHIP
YOU MUST BE
- Run by an association or organisation
- Eastern States, national or international qualifier or running an event where only off the track horses are eligible to enter
- Host classes where only off the track horses are eligible to enter
- Able to show how many off the track horses have competed at your event previously with a minimum average number of 20 percent
- Dedicated social media channels for the event
- Website relating to the event or association organising it
- Printed official program for the event highlighting the off the track competitors
WHAT OFF THE TRACK WILL PROVIDE FOR YOUR EVENT
- Ribbons and prizes provided for off the track horses in agreed classes
- $2,000 towards the running of your event
- OTTWA to provide promotional merchandise and flyers to go in competitor gift packs (if applicable), please note limits apply
- Optional: OTTWA will offer to subsidize 30% the entry costs of OTTWA competitors who travel 150km or more to attend the event.
WHAT OFF THE TRACK WILL RECEIVE FOR THE SPONSORSHIP OF YOUR EVENT
- Full page advertisement in the official program
- An individual social post announcing OTTWA as a sponsor
- OTTWA to be tagged in all relevant social media posts pre, during and post event
- OTTWA logo and link to OTTWA website on the event website, entry form and program
- Opportunity to display signage and/or use of an OTTWA jump where applicable
- PA announcements throughout the event referencing OTTWA as a sponsor
- Naming rights to an agreed class/s
- A full list of OTT horses that entered the event with their OTTWA Passport ID number, racing name and competition name.
- Complete a post-event report to be provided to OTTWA (template provided)
SILVER SPONSORSHIP
YOU MUST BE
- Run by an association or organisation
- Preferably, host classes where only off the track horses are eligible to enter
WHAT OFF THE TRACK WILL PROVIDE FOR YOUR EVENT
- Ribbons and prizes provided for off the track horses in agreed classes
- $1,000 towards the running of your event
- OTTWA to provide promotional merchandise and flyers to go in competitor gift packs (if applicable), please note limits apply
- Optional: OTTWA will offer to subsidize 30% the entry costs of OTTWA competitors who travel 150km or more to attend the event.
WHAT OFF THE TRACK WILL RECEIVE FOR THE SPONSORSHIP OF YOUR EVENT
- Half Page advertising opportunity in official program if applicable
- Opportunity for OTTWA to display signage
- OTTWA logo and link to OTTWA website on the event website, entry form and program where applicable
- OTTWA to be tagged in all relevant social media posts pre, during and post event
- A full list of OTTWA horses that entered the event with their OTTWA Passport ID number, racing name and competition name.
- Complete a post-event report to be provided to OTTWA (template provided)
BRONZE SPONSORSHIP
YOU MUST BE
- A small club/association and/or expected a small representation (15% or less) of retired racehorses.
WHAT OFF THE TRACK WILL PROVIDE FOR YOUR EVENT
- Ribbons and prizes provided for off the track horses in agreed classes
WHAT OFF THE TRACK WILL RECEIVE FOR THE SPONSORSHIP OF YOUR EVENT
- OTTWA to be tagged in all relevant social media posts pre, during and post event
- A full list of OTTWA horses that entered the event with their OTTWA Passport ID number, racing name and competition name.
- Complete a post-event report to be provided to OTTWA (template provided)
Terms & Conditions
A representative from the sponsored club or organisation must complete the sponsorship survey for each sponsored period in order for that club or organisation to be eligible in the next period.
The Horse Passport ID Number, race name (if applicable) and rider/handler’s name must be provided by the club or organisation for each sponsored event.
Additional terms and conditions will be specified on an agreement for each event which are specific to that event and the level of sponsorship.
RWWA has no responsibility for any ongoing costs incurred.
RWWA does not provide any warranty or accept any liability in relation to the retired racehorses.
OTTWA and RWWA accept no responsibility for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of, or in connection with, this sponsorship.
RWWA reserves the right to withdraw the sponsorship if a Club is unable to satisfy these terms and conditions.
