Wrapping Up the Clinic Season
Throughout 2025, OTTWA in partnership with Equestrian WA, hosted 12 clinics.
These clinics are designed to educate and assist retired racehorses as they transition from a racing career into an off the track lifestyle.
With three clinic types to choose from, we have catered to all experience levels:
- Encouragement – suited for green and freshly retired racehorses
- Classic – suited for both green and experienced horses
- Training – suited for preparing for performance careers
We ventured out to five locations across the metropolitan area. Thank you to local Horse & Pony Club/Adult Rider committees who hosted us at their venues.
- Baldivis – Baldivis Adult Riders Club
- Peel – Peel Horse and Pony Club
- Magenup – Magenup Adult Rider’s Club
- State Equestrian Centre – Equestrian WA
- Northam – Avon Valley Horse and Pony Club
Thank you to the coaches who have helped to provide informative and educational lessons designed to help riders overcome challenges and understand how to safely transition their retired racehorse into a new career.
