Thunder God Returns to Compete in Sydney

After a successful 2024 trip, Off the Track WA are proud to sponsor young rider, Ella McCrum, and her wonderful retired racehorse, Thunder God, again at the 2025 Australian Interschool National Championships.

Last year, Ella and ‘Alfie’ competed in the Combined Training 105cm class for Secondary students and several show jumping classes to claim 10th place in the Overall Championships.

From these classes, Thunder God achieved eighth in the combined training, Overall Reserve Champion in the 1m show jumping and overall fifth in the 1.10m.

This year, we look forward to supporting Alfie and Ella as they compete in the following classes:

Ella is a proud member of Gidgegannup Horse and Pony Club WA and joins an exciting team of Western Australian horses and riders participating at this event in Sydney.

Thunder God is a nine-year old gelding by Playing God. Trained by Stephen Miller, Thunder God raced for three starts before retiring in 2019.
