Egg White | Off The Track Story

After 41 races, Egg White’s career ended abruptly. Former track rider, Christy Poulsen, took on Egg and committed to fulfilling his rehabilitation after falling in love with his quirky personality.

“I was Eggs track rider for a few seasons before he retired. He showed a lot of qualities that I was looking for in my next show jumper.”

Taking everything slow and steady, Christys hard work paid off, and Egg was jumping within a year from his injury. He received all the best treatments to ensure he had a full recovery, and his future remains bright become of this.

“Egg is extremely quirky. He’s always doing something wrong and getting himself in trouble. He’s very playful and has a paddock filled with toys.”

Since beginning their show jumping journey together, Christy and Egg have enjoyed frequent clinics and show jumping placings. Egg has also dabbled in show horse events, achieving the following results at the Geraldton Combined Equestrian Club Breed Show in 2025:

  • Champion Thoroughbred + Supreme Off the Track Exhibit
  • Top 5 Supreme Exhibit (all breeds)

Egg and Christy also won the Senior Fashions on the Field class at the Geraldton Horse of the Year competition; a class Christy has always wanted to win.

“Looking towards the 2026 season we are aiming for more exposure and slowly progressing through the heights. Hopefully, we’ll try our hand at some eventing.”

Thanks to Christy for sharing Egg White’s story with the off-the-track community.
