Congratulations to Off the Track WA Sponsored Melbourne International 3 Day Event Competitors!

Sponsored competitors, Kate Joyce, Tessa Sharman and Riley Lyall recently travelled with their off the track mounts and support crew 3,500km to the beautiful grounds of the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, Victoria for this prestigious event. Throughout the dressage, cross country and show jumping elements of this event each horse and rider combination demonstrated the great talent and ability of West Australian off the track competitors.

Tessa began her campaign ahead of the main competition, in the six-year-old class at the Horseland Young Horse Competition. Madamchino and Tessa placed second, achieving a score of 80.25 from 100! In the CCI2*-L, Madamchino and Tessa quickly shot to the top of a class of 76 riders after an incredible dressage score of 30.2 had them sitting in 5th. Tessa guided Madamchino around a challenging cross country course to produce a double clear round. On the final day one unlucky rail in the show jumping saw the duo finish 13th.

Additional to the individual competition Out of Line and Riley Representing Australia in the Young Rider Oceania Championships Eventing team. They kicked off their campaign with a relaxed dressage test producing a score of 35.5 penalties. A confident cross country run saw the pair come through the finish flags clear with only 2.8 time penalties. After only one show jump rail, Out of Line and Riley finished 10th in the class and first on the Australian Team.

Lost East Estees and Kate pulled off a beautiful dressage test, scoring 31.7 penalties to put them into 7th at the end of day one. Kate expertly piloted Lost East Estees around the stunning cross country course, only adding 4.8 penalties to their score. With only one rail down in the show jumping, Kate and Lost East Estees finished in 7th place, and the second highest placed off the track horse in an incredibly competitive class.

We congratulate each competitor for not only their results at this event, but for the dedication and commitment they have for their off the track partners.
