AN ENCOURAGING CLINIC TO START 2026!

Our first clinic of the year was a fantastic success with over 40 riders and their off the track horses attending lessons with coaches, Karen Spice and Kellie-Ann Crowe.

From seasoned racehorses to newcomers like Clemenceau—who raced just four weeks ago and is already thriving in his new jumping career—it was exciting to support so many horses as they begin or continue on into their next chapter.

We were joined by a diverse range of horses, from Clemenceau with the most earnings to The Chorister with the most racing wins. 37 horses were West Australian born, while several came from New South Wales, New Zealand and Queensland.

Seniors and juniors joined the fun with one horse born in 2004 and another in 2022. No matter their age, breeding or origin, we were thrilled to support such a wide array of Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds.

Special shoutout to Seeknyoushallfind, recently rehomed through the OTTWA Retraining and Rehoming Program, who attended his first clinic with new owners. We can’t wait to follow his journey!

Social rides were well supported with horses venturing out in groups to explore the State Equestrian Centre’s trails; a great opportunity to expose horses to new environments with the support of fellow riders and knowledgeable guides.

Thank you to Eric Lloyd Photography for capturing these moments of growth and joy. Photos are available for purchase via their website.

Ready to join us? Our upcoming clinic at Magenup Equestrian Centre on March 21st is open for entry to all OTTWA Passport holders. Don’t miss out on the chance to help your horse shine in their new career!
