Billy Boeing | Jetting Off on His Off the Track Career
Billy Boeing is a Mr. Aviator USA gelding, born in 2015. Trained by Bradley Chinnery and driven by owner, Lorne Steer, Billy Boeing paced in 14 starts before retiring in 2019.
Rehomed to Naomi Mead, Eric settled into an off-the-track lifestyle. Standing out with his chestnut coat and white markings, Eric has been well placed throughout his new showing career in Standardbred classes.
“We’ve achieved many things together and spend a lot of time bush riding or hanging out with friends.”
Some of Eric’s achievements include:
- Champion Standardbred at the Collie Agricultural Show in 2019, 2022 and 2024
- Supreme Standardbred at the 2020 Brunswick Show
- Runner Up Off the Track Hunter at the SPPHAWA Dual Code Spectacular in 2024
- Champion Off the Track Walk Trot Hack at Capel Hack Day
- Series Standardbred Champion at the Bunbury Dressage Series in 2025
Earlier this year, Billy Boeing fell ill with peritonitis which left him fighting to return to full health. Thankfully, he has returned to full health ready to continue having fun with his mum, Naomi.
