Albany’s Clinic Series with Colin Chantler

Throughout 2025, Albany Pony Club have been hosting an ongoing clinic series with coach, Colin Chantler. Proudly sponsored through our Regional Clinic Sponsorship, we’ve been thrilled to support this club as they provide educational opportunities to local riders and their horses.

“This was our first year running regional coaching clinics, and in total we held four clinics throughout the year—each one growing in popularity.

“It was especially wonderful to see such strong participation from Off the Track horses, with riders developing valuable skills to support their retraining journeys.” – Albany Pony Clubs, Kylie Owen.

The most recent Albany clinic with Colin saw 17 horses attend for lessons, with 14 thoroughbreds. That is 82% off the track participation. This was a fantastic turn-out of retired racehorses, all of which received a subsidised entry through this sponsorship allowing them to enter lessons at a discounted price.

Participants from these clinics included Man Booker, winner of over one million during his race career. This clinic allowed ‘George’ to continue to be supported in his off the track career along with his peers.
