2023 OTTWA Results and Appreciations | Jan to July

OTTWA would like to thank everyone who has sent us words of appreciation throughout the year regarding our sponsorship of events and clinics. We’ve compiled the best of your photos to thank those who took the time to send them through to us.



  • Schadenfreude Lou and Maddison Manolini were fortunate enough to win Best Performed Off the Track Horse at Albany Pony Clubs Dressage Day, as well as Runner-Up High Point Senior Pony Club Rider in January. Maddison’s mum, Kasey sent us a fantastic photo of “Bertie” with his Best Performed Rosette.



  • Dream Alliance and Lillian Shepheard were the Runner-Up Best Performed Off the Track Horse combination in the show jumping arena at the Esperance Pony Club Show Jumping and Dressage Series. Pictured is Dream Alliance and Lillian touching down after a successful round.



  • Juanita Stafford and Nebraska were the winners of Runner-Up Best Performed Thoroughbred in the Prelim and Novice classes at Southern Solstices January Dressage Competition. Juanita was kind enough to send us some fantastic photos show casing their tests.



  • “I love all the work that OTTWA do to support retired racehorses in their next endeavour. That little bit of extra recognition at competitions, to acknowledge the work and efforts of riders to re-educate these horses and present them as much more than speed machines, is very much appreciated.” – Juanita Stafford.



  • The first event for the Serpentine PC Show Jumping Series was held in February, with Holly McClune and Topman taking home the Best Performed Off the Track Horse Rosette in Arena 2’s 80 to 90cm class and Maddie Coles and Me ‘N’ Taz winning the Best Performed Off the Track Horse Rosette in the Arena 1 40 to 60cm class.   • Sam Cook and her team of off the track horses had a fantastic time at Denmark Combined Training, with OTTWA Retraining Program Graduate, Carson Drive winning Best Performed Off the Track Horse and newcomer mount, Shinju winning Runner-Up Best Performed Off the Track Horse. Thanks goes to Sam for sending her words of appreciation and a great photo of both horses with their rosettes.



  • Dryandra hosted their Encouragement Hack Day, with fantastic results for Off the track competitors.



  • Lascia Star was the EWA Autumn Pageant Winner of the Off the Track Thoroughbred Class, owned by Fiona Whife. Thank you to Fiona for sending through her words of appreciation and a photo of Lascia Star ready for the show ring.
