Hi, I’m Amber (race name Sweet Art Pro). I was too slow to race and retired in 2023 to begin exploring life beyond the track.
I’ve been told I’m very pretty and have the potential to be a competitive show horse—but I’d be just as happy as your trail buddy. I’m not fussy, just looking for a kind, patient person to call my own.
My trot is my favourite gait—fancy for a racehorse, if I do say so myself! I’ve been retrained slowly with a focus on liberty and positive reinforcement. Under saddle, I’m green but willing. I try hard to give the right answers and am starting to understand leg yields, with steady progress across all gaits. Learning to carry myself properly has been a workout!
I recently went to my first show. While I didn’t place, I gave it my all and took everything in stride. With time and continued exposure, I could make an excellent little pony club mount.
I live out 24/7 with a paddock mate who’s a bit bossy—I’m not “marey” or dominant, so we get along fine. I’d be happy in a mixed herd or next to other horses.
I’m searching for a forever home with someone experienced who can continue bringing out the best in me. I’ll give you my heart, my try—and hope you have lots of carrots🥕
