I’m looking to rehome my kind natured gelding to a loving home as a companion for either other horses or someone looking for a friend.
He has recently been diagnosed with kissing spine, and unfortunately I am not in a position to house a companion horse long-term.
Jamal (Alaskan God) is:
A gentle, intelligent horse with a long list of references for his beautiful nature.
He DOES NOT wind suck, kick, fence walk, show aggression toward other horses and is extremely low maintenance.
He retired sound from racing, but has shown discomfort under saddle in the arena which led to my investigation.
He is currently paddock sound, with no behavioural issues on the ground, travels well and is currently undergoing core strengthening stretches and gentle exercises while in search for his new home.
I do not want him to be a ridden horse. Although with maintenance and strengthening he may be able to return to saddle work- I do not want this for him.
COMPANION HORSE ONLY.
This has been a very hard decision, and my priority is finding him a home where he is understood, not pushed, and given the chance to thrive in the right hands. I am happy to discuss his full history and condition openly with any serious, suitable home.
